Measurements
The viewer includes measurement tools, so you can take real-world readings straight from your results without exporting anything. Draw on the map and the values update as you go.
Three kinds of measurement are available:
- Distance — the length of a line or path you draw on the map.
- Area — the surface area of a polygon you outline.
- Height — elevation readings from the DSM/DTM elevation models.
All measurements follow the metric / imperial preference set in the app sidebar, so you and your clients see units in the system you actually work in. You can change the preference at any time; see Profile & preferences.
Measurements are a good way to sanity-check a project before sharing it — for example, verifying that a known distance on site matches what the map shows. For the layers you can measure on, see Map layers.
