Uploading your images
Getting images into MapperTool is a drag-and-drop affair. Create a project and drop your flight images into it, or skip the account entirely and drop them straight into the dropzone on the landing page — anonymous quick processing works without signing up, and if you register later the project is adopted into your dashboard.
While the upload runs, the file list shows the state of every file, so you can see at a glance what has arrived and what is still in flight. Wait for the upload to finish before moving on — the automatic data check runs on the complete set.
A few things worth knowing:
- Upload the images from a single flight (or flights of the same area) into one project — the data check and the processing both work on the set as a whole.
- Keep the original files as they came off the drone. The check reads the image EXIF, so stripped or re-exported copies can hide the metadata it needs.
- Plans differ in how many images a project can hold — see current plan details.
